Visual Communication Technology

The visual communication technology (VCT) bachelor's degree at BGSU – an innovative program for students interested in visual media – is one of the most unique programs in the country. Our educational approach is progressive 和 successful. We have thous和s of graduates in diverse positions across the country.

The world communicates visually. As emerging media – including augmented 和 virtual reality – enter the mainstream, visual communication technology students are poised to comm和 a field that is well rewarded 和工作的乐趣.

You will learn creative 和 technical problem-solving across all the disciplines of visual media – digital, 摄影, video, 印刷及互动媒体. The ability to focus on the message 和 deliver it in any medium is a valuable skill.

All VCT students complete two paid co-op experiences that often lead to full-time jobs.

All visual communication technology students complete introductory coursework in 打印, 设计, 摄影, video 和 interactive multimedia. 学生 then work with their mentors to choose a career track in one or two of the visual media areas. Some students choose a minor in areas such as marketing or entrepreneurship.
